About Juvenile Career Education (JuCE) Africa
JuCE Africa is a not-for-profit non-governmental organisation created with the future of the African child in mind. We aim to provide career education to children in Africa, starting with Nigeria.
We have observed that there is limited career education and exposure in childhood; many children are not aware of the range of career options and opportunities available to them. There is inadequate exposure, guidance and support in exploring career choices and making decisions. Yet, children as early as in Junior Secondary School (ages 8-12) are expected to make decisions regarding future careers. This means that many children stumble blindly into career paths or choose whatever their parents, guardians or schools force them to study.
JuCE Africa is stepping in to fill this gap, by partnering with parents, educational institutions and organisations, to give children a head start into exploring and discovering their career interests.
We are fun, engaging and an easy way for children and teenagers (ages 9 - 17) to learn about careers they can pursue in the future. At JuCE, we believe exposure is crucial. Therefore, our goal is to expose children to as many possibilities. With JuCE, children are able to meet and interact with young professionals who will share their career journeys from childhood to their present position; children will have access to follow up mentorship from mentors, as well as internships and open days in their areas of interest. JuCE children will be able to learn from the successes and pitfalls of their JuCE mentors, refine and hone their academic pursuits, interests and skills (creative, active and social), giving a generation of young children an invaluable head start.
We aim to create a generation of children who grow into adulthood passionate about what they do and equipped to impact the world.
Our Vision
To see an Africa where children’s career paths are intentionally thought through, developed and chosen to set them up to excel in their desired paths.
Our Mission
To cultivate the next generation of leaders through career exposure and mentorship by providing young children with the resources, guidance, and skills needed to intentionally, purposefully choose a career path, and excel in the said career path. We believe in providing hands-on experiences and insights that inspire and motivate children to reach their full potential.
Join us on the journey to create a brighter future for the youth of today and tomorrow.
Our Goals
Inspire and educate young minds about career paths.
Empower children to achieve their career aspirations.
Collaborate with guardians, schools and organizations to enrich children's futures.
